Hi! I am currently a designer on the global design team at The North Face. I design all hard trim and yarn dyes, various soft trim, and some performance fabrics for TNF’s apparel business. I have an industrial design background with a focus on textiles, materials and footwear. Before joining The North Face, I worked with the Virtual Textiles Research Group as a product designer realizing the possibilities of state-of-the-art 3D weaving for consumer industries. I’ve done work for Keen footwear and high-performance dress wear brand Ministry of Supply. I graduated with a degree in industrial design from Rhode Island School of Design.

As a Colorado-native, I grew up in the outdoors skiing, trail running and biking (mountain and road). I dedicated the past 10 years to road cycling on the highly competitive domestic and international racing circuit. During that time, I had the great fortune of winning a national championship title, several state championship titles and competing on the U.S. national team. I’ve also competing as a Cat. 1 on the domestic circuit.

In a sport where equipment really does matter, I’ve spent a lot of time considering, tinkering and experimenting with materials for high performance applications. Far beyond just their use in athletics, I think of performance in the broadest sense of the word: “What can this material do?” Asking and answering questions like this greatly inspires my design practice. As a materials focused product designer, I’ve developed a 3D printed fabric and have firsthand experience creating 2D and 3D woven textiles on industrial jacquard looms. I greatly value the power of collaboration and have appreciated the range of challenges, inherent in working across disciplines and dealing with different materials and how they integrate into products.

Outside of design, I love PORSCHE, The War on Drugs, cycling, skiing, mechanical watches, traveling and being outside.
